Spring — A Time to Begin Again

Begin Again, 30x30 inch hand appliquéd, hand quilted traditional quilt by O.V. Brantley, 2021. For sale.

Spring has finally arrived and I could not be happier. I love spring because plants that you thought were dead are suddenly new again. What a miracle!

The same goes for people. That feeling of being in a rut suddenly disappears. New ideas, new energy and creativity suddenly appear.

Time to get up! Get going! And Begin Again.

I love the sentiment of spring being a time for fresh starts, especially when it comes to finishing up projects that have been sitting in the sewing room all winter. Last year, I was so determined to finally finish a quilt for my niece, but my schedule was so packed with schoolwork that I actually searched for someone to take my online class cheap just to buy myself some extra time at the machine. It really is the best feeling to clear away the old obligations and make room for something creative and new as the weather starts to warm up!

I read this comment about spring being a time to begin again and how it makes starting fresh feel peaceful and hopeful. It made me think of a time I had to Complete my online finance class and felt stuck in the middle, but breaking the work into small parts and starting again each day helped me finish it. Small fresh starts really make big tasks easier.

I read the article about spring—a time to begin again—and it talks about renewal, fresh starts, and making small changes that help you feel hopeful again. When school was really heavy last term, I needed Online Lab Takers and Helpers so I could finish my work and still make time to enjoy moments of peace and new beginnings like this. It reminded me that getting help can give you space to start over with more energy.
