Celebrating Rest During Black History Month

Sunday Morning, 72 X 82 blooming nine patch quilt by O.V. Brantley, 2016. NFS.

Color has its place, but I love the serenity of taupe quilts. They draw you in quietly and force you to listen to your angels and to learn. Sunday Morning is my favorite.

Historically, for most of us, working, shopping, drinking, washing clothes, house cleaning, etc. were not Sunday activities. Instead, Sundays were designated as a day of rest. Why not honor that tradition on this first Sunday of Black History Month? Rest, relax and restore. The struggle continues tomorrow.
