A Heavenly Mother’s Day Quilt Memory

My quilt Evora’s Earth was one of the earliest quilts I made when I learned to quilt. It is super special because it honors my mother Evora Hicks who passed away before it was finished, and it was created in a year long quilting class where I made lifelong quilting friends.

Evora’s Earth has hung in my dining room for almost 25 years, creating an aura of loving memories of growing up in Crossett, AR that permeate my home.

Every memory I have of my mother is good and happy. Just the thought of her makes me smile. I wish good memories for you on Mother’s Day.🥰
