Recently my friend Aleathia and I took a short trip to Cartersville, GA to see the Black Pioneers exhibit. It was curated by Carolyn Mazloomi and is magnificent. The exhibit premiered in Florida, but has now traveled to the Booth Western Museum.
It is a rather large exhibit with much to see. All the pieces are original story quilts. I loved them all, but I can only share a few of my favorites here.
Go see the exhibit and buy the book in the museum shop.
