Fiber Wreath Workshop is a Huge Success

My Holiday Fiber Wreath Workshop was held in conjunction with my exhibit Long Time Coming: A Retrospective of O.V. Brantley's Red and White Quilts. It sold out quickly, as only 25 lucky students could attend.

The students in my Holiday Fiber Wreath workshop were enthusiastic and motivated. Most of the students either finished their red and white wreath or made substantial progress.

A happy student with her finished wreath.

Creating the wreath is simple. Just tie 1.5 x 8.5 inch strips to a wreath frame. I furnished all the supplies for the class which included the wreath frame and the precut red and white strips. This enabled the students to be relaxed and happy.

Aleathia Chisolm demonstrates how to cut strips with a rotary cutter to nonquillters in the class.
Marva Swanson demonstrates one technique for tying the knots.

I am very grateful for my Teacher Helpers -- Aleahia Chisolm, Janice Daniel and Marva Swanson. They provided individual instruction when needed.

As a special gift from me, all students received my Long Time Coming tote bag with a wreath hanger inside. My tote bag was designed and printed by my daughter India Brantley.

It was a happy day.🥰
