Big Circles of Love

At its essence “Big Circles of Love” is a scrap quilt. I have accumulated so much red fabric over the years that I have to find ways to use it up.
 
Nine different circles make up the center of the quilt. They are fused and sewn down with a machine blanket stitch. Most of the circles contain an appliquéd love message, and the inner border says “I love you.”
 
Four borders frame the circles including a pieced border. The final border carries out the love theme of the quilt and creates a coherent composition. There are approximately 20 different reds in the quilt.
 
“Big Circles of Love” was machine quilted by Maxine Moore. It measures 46 X 50 inches.
 
The back of the quilt is also red and white. I added a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.
 
I signed it on the front and added a love charm.
