To further carry out the message of the quilt, I added a charm to each house that suggest the spirits you may find in a cherished creative community. Words include “inspire”, “trust”, “love”,  “laugh”, “dream”, “family”, “wish”,”hope”, and “believe”. Two “explore” charms are included at the bottom of the quilt because that’s what Creatives do. I added an angel charm that reads :Angels watching over me” to the top of the quilt because I believe in angels.
I added borders that make the dimensions of the “Cherished Creative Community” 55 X 61 inches. My friend Maxine Moore quilted it on her long arm.
The fabric on the back of the quilt is a purple and yellow African print. I added a hanging sleeve for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.
I signed it on the front and added a charm that says “Life is Good”.
