Church Angel #3

I try to keep my angels close, so over the years I have created many angel quilts. Church Angel is my newest series of angel quilts. The angels in the 6 quilt series were created for an exhibit in the First Existentialist Congregation of Atlanta which ran from January 16, 2026 - March 1, 2026.
Each angel in the series is wearing an African dress, fused to a neutral background and sewed down using my machine blanket stitch. Three borders frame the angel on of which is a pieced border.
“Church Angel #3” is wearing an African purple and green robe. After I quilted her in a diagonal pattern, I added purple rhinestones to her halo  and toes. Rhinestones around her head add to the heavenly effect.
The back of the quilt is a light green leaf fabric. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display, and a label that documents the quilt.
I signed it on the front and added an angel charm.
