Church Angel #6

I try to keep my angels close, so over the years I have created many angel quilts. Church Angel is my newest series of angel quilts. The angels in the 6 quilt series were created for an exhibit in the First Existentialist Congregation of Atlanta which ran from January 16, 2026 - March 1, 2026.
Each angel in the series is fused to a neutral background and sewn down using my machine blanket stitch. Three borders frame the angel on of which is a pieced border.
“Church Angel #6” is wearing a red and yellow robe with a red halo. After I quilted her in a grid pattern, I added black and yellow rhinestones to her halo. Rhinestones around her head add to the heavenly effect. Yellow buttons adorn her robe, Red heart buttons complete the heavenly composition.
The back of the quilt is a yellow polka dot fabric. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display, and a label that documents the quilt.
I signed it on the front and added an angel charm.
