A Night Out Celebrating 10 Years of Art at EDAMCC

Saturday night we celebrated 10 years of creativity at the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum and Conference Center (EDAMCC). I was honored to be asked to submit quilts for the exhibit since the exhibit was by invitation only. It featured artists who had exhibited at EDAMCC since it opened 10 years ago.

The crowd, which included most of the artists, was happy and lively as we celebrated Tisha Smith, the curator, and Tae Earl Jackson, the director. They have launched many art careers including my own. My solo exhibit of red and white quilts entitled Long Time Coming—premiered at EDAMCC in November 19, 2022.

For this exhibit my quilts Floating Flowers and Floating on Sunshine were spreading happy vibes.

The exhibit is definitely worthy of your time. As an added bonus, there is an exhibit of photography by Michael Reese in an adjoining gallery. The 10th anniversary exhibit runs until August 2d. Don’t miss it!
