Caribbean Rock

Updated: Sep 5, 2021

Caribbean Rock, 64x84 inch row by row quilt by O.V. Brantley, 2007.

The stores are filled with fall, Halloween and harvest. I am not ready to give up on summer yet. I like to live in the moment.

In a traditional row-by-row setting, my quilt Caribbean Rock captures life on a cruise in the summertime — sunny days, watermelon, palm trees, ice cream, sailboats, fish and umbrellas on the beach. Happy stuff.😁

Caribbean Rock commemorates the cruise daughter India and I took during her spring break in 2006. India was 14 years old and wanted to visit the Hard Rock Cafe in every port of call and buy a shot glass.😳 It is one of the many quilts I have made to commemorate our travels.
