My Christmas Wish: A New Sashiko Sewing Machine!

My Christmas wish came true. I found a new Babylock Shashiko sewing machine under my Christmas tree! Daughter India teamed up with my Special to make my Christmas wish come true. I have been a very good girl. š
As you know, I love to personally hand quilt, and I love quilts that are quilted by hand more than those quilted by machine. However, hand quilting is almost a lost art, and it takes a very long time to hand quilt a quilt.
The Sashiko machine, which is the only stand alone machine on the market that creates stitches that look like hand quilting, may be a partial solution for me. It is a bit different from other machines primarily because it only utilizes the bobbin thread. There is no top thread. Imagine that! I am up to the challenge of learning this new machine. Wish me luck and look forward to many new quilts!
