I am so excited about 2026! I have a feeling it is going to be my best quilt year yet. My quilt calendar is already full!

Here are some things I will be doing in 2026:

Warp, Weft and Wonder, my first exhibit in 2026, opens January 16th and continues until March 1st. I will be exhibiting my angel quilts in a group exhibition with three other fiber artists at the First Existentialist Congregation of Atlanta, 470 Candler Drive, Atlanta, GA. Because the exhibit will be housed in a church, I chose to share my angel quilts. Once that decision was made, I decided to create a new series of six angel quilts named Church Angels. All of my angels will be offered at a special price in my studio store starting January 16th.

During Black History Month two of my quilts will be part of a group exhibit entitled Stitching Our Stories. The exhibit opens January 20 and runs through February 28th at the See Clayton County Visitors Center, 125 North Main Street, Jonesboro, GA. The two quilts I will be exhibiting are Celebration Under the Freedom Tree and Jazz Festival Backup Singers.

My quilts that are part of the Atlanta Quilt Festival’s Good Trouble Quilts exhibit are headed back to Montgomery, AL. The exhibit will be housed at the Civil Rights Memorial Center, 400 Washington Avenue, Montgomery, AL 36104 through April 13th. The Good Trouble Quilts exhibit is a beautiful exhibit honoring a great man, and I am proud that my quilts He Inspires Us With His Words and Deeds and Good Trouble Library are part of the exhibit. (Don’t forget that these quilts are in the book Good Trouble Quilts - The Fight. The Progress. The Legacy. which is available on the Atlanta Quilt Festival web site and Amazon.

Meanwhile, in my studio I will be busy working on my entry for the Atlanta Quilt Festival exhibit Music Moves Movements. That exhibit opens July 31st at the Southwest Arts Center Gallery, 905 New Hope Road, South Fulton, GA 30331.

My solo exhibit Bodacious Beautiful and Brilliant opens in January 2027 at the Southwest Arts Center Gallery. That seems far away but it is right around the corner when you are planning to make 20 new red and white quilts.

Finally, in the midst of all the joy described above, I am working on a quilt commissioned by a very special client. It is top secret for now, but it is going to be epic.

My 2026 planner is filling up. What are you doing in 2026?
