Speaking Quilts at the Peoria Riverfront Museum

Sharing my personal story on opening night.

The Atlanta Quilt Festival’s Good Trouble Quilts exhibit is exhibiting at the Peoria Riverfront Museum, and I was there to introduce the exhibit this weekend on behalf of the Atlanta Quilt Festival.

Speaking with staff members of the Peoria Riverfont Museum before my gallery tour.

The museum showed the Atlanta Quilt Festival documentary Stitch on a huge screen in its a auditorium. In addition to speaking at a private reception for donors and supporters, I led two gallery tours on Friday, July 12th at 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

The “Good Trouble Quilts” are bigger than life! Quilt shown is by Toni Presha.

I was so excited to share the legacy of Congressman Lewis as told through quilts at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. The exhibit continues until August 12th. It is worthy of your time.

MY SPECIAL made the trip with me. He is learning a lot about quilts.😍
