My quilt A beautiful Day in Rome will be part of the Thank You John Lewis! I Am Your Wildest Dream! exhibit at the Atlanta Quilt Festival. The exhibit features quilts that capture joy and gratitude as a way of saying thank you to John Lewis and other civil rights leaders for their sacrifices.
A Beautiful Day in Rome captures a day in time when daughter India and took our first international trip together. We spent a day exploring Rome before we connected with our travel mates for a Mediterranean cruise leaving the next day. We felt so brave, so confident and so happy that we were able to navigate a foreign city. We even rode the subway.
The Atanta Quilt Festival is scheduled for August 4th - September 2d at the Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Road SW, South Fulton, GA. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
