There are many Juneteenth celebrations happening in Atlanta this weekend, but the Atlanta History Center will be one of the best. It will feature quilts from the Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Guild.

I am excited that three of my Juneteenth quilts are in the exhibit. As I mentioned in a previous blog post, since Juneteenth became a federal holiday, I committed myself to make a Juneteeth quilt each year. After all, I love happy quilts, and what is happier than freedom?!
