The first Wednesday of the month is potluck Wednesday at the Welcome All Quilters guild meeting. We also have a speaker on the 1st Wednesday, and this month I was the speaker.
At the request of one of the guild members, I made a short presentation entitled Make Your Stitches Invisible. I illustrated my advice with two of my heirloom applique quilts — Uncommon Legacy and Give Yourself a Flower Garden.
I don’t think I shared anything they did not already know, but they claim they learned a lot. However, I have found that even if you already know something, affirmation is a a good thing.
For me it was good to get a couple of my heirloom quilts out of the closet and fun to share. It was a good day.
