Preparing for a Class with Sarah Bond

I am so excited to attend a class taught by Sarah Bond at the Atlanta Quilt Festival. Like Christmas, anticipation can be the best part of taking a quilt class to learn a new technique.

I have spent quite a bit of time deciding what fabric I want to use. She shows the quilt in two color ways and two layouts. After much deliberation, I think I have decided to add to my red and white quilt collection, although I think the quilt could look fabulous in African or aboriginal fabrics. I reserve the right to change my mind between now and the time class starts on Friday.😂

I have gotten my traveling sewing machine tuned up since it has been stored in the closet since I bought my new Janome a couple of years ago. Nothing to do now but show up and have fun.

The class is sponsored by the Atlanta Quilt Festival. It is being held at the Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Road, South Fulton, GA 30331 this Friday and Saturday. Sarah is also presenting her trunk show Saturday at 4 p.m. Get tickets on the Atlanta Quilt Festival web site.

I will post my progress. Meanwhile here's a little slide show put together by Sarah.
