Watch Night

Some people go to parties on New Year’s Eve, and some people go to church. Where I grew up, we went to Watch Night Service at First Baptist Church. The congregation sang and prayed as they “watched” the New Year in.

My quilt Watch Night gets its name from the church in the center block. In my hometown the Christmas season ended at church. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ⛪️ 🎄🥳
