The Beauty of Africa is a wallhanging composed of a wide variety of African fabrics, however the two women on a green background dominate the piece. It measures 43 x48 inches.
The quilt is embellished with painted wooden buttons and a charm engraved with the word ‘inspire.” It was machine quilted by my friend Maxine Moore.
The back of the quilt features a tree printed batik. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.
I attached a printed label on the front because my usual signature would not show up. This quilt is one-of-a-kind.
