Looking Back at the Kuumba Award

I want my sorors in the East Point College Park Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta to see the ad I placed in the Atlanta Quilt Festival program booklet thanking them for choosing me as their 33rd Kuumba Award recipient.

I received the award in May in recognition of my solo exhibit of red and white quilts entitled Long Time Coming: A Retrospective of O.V. Brantley's Red and White Quilts, and I am still on Cloud 9! The Kuumba Award is bestowed on an individual who adds or promotes creativity in the community.
